As the sun sets and night paints itself in,
I see a little star in your eyes;
A star so bright and its light undying
Just like your love for me.
As I hide in your closet
And smell your shirts,
I feel your presence around me.
It is almost like you never were about to leave me.
As I look at your pictures
And cherish sweet memories,
A candle is lit in my heart;
And nothing in this world can extinguish it.
Because just like your love,
My hope can never diminish.
It is stronger each day.
It is fueled by love; your love.
They say you never know what you have,
Until what you have is gone
But I’m happy you never really went.
You almost did but you didn’t.
Now I know what I have.
I love what I’ve always had.
From now I will cherish every moment,
Especially those moments when I tell you a little secret.
It used to be the hardest thing ever.
But the more I say it, the happier I feel.
So here’s the thing;

I love this poem!! The imagery is amazing! I love the first stanza about the night sky and the star in your eye. I also love "As I look at your pictures/ And cherish sweet memories,A candle is lit in my heart."
This is just my opinion, but I would take out Because in the fourth stanza. I think it would flow better without it, but thats just me.
Either way its an awsome poem. very touching.
AAAAAAAAAAAAw that poem is sooo pretty. in the first line the word "in" i dont think is needd. in the second stanza when its like "as i hide in your closet and smell your shirts" sounds a little bit weird. but overall its really cool.
